Abby is a 7-year-old with a huge smile who was born with hydrocephalus and is also physically and developmentally delayed. Abby suffers from frequent colds, fevers, infections, and coughs.
Abby lives with her parents and 4 other siblings in temporary housing without a toilet or running water. Her father is a laborer who earns about $3.50 US dollars for an 11-hour day. Abby’s mother tries to sell items online to earn a small commission, but this only adds about $10 US dollars a month occasionally. Both parents’ incomes are unstable, and sometimes they have no earnings at all. The family often eats only rice flavored with salt and cooking oil, and there are days when Abby’s parents don’t eat at all so they can afford to buy milk for her, the medicines she needs to keep her healthy, and to feed their other children.
They live almost 3 hours away from the nearest pharmacy, so we have to ship all items to her for her to receive them.
Can you help Abby with her needs for two months?
