Goal

When you want help and appeal to the world, people may think we are fine. They do not see the pain we carry or the suffering we have endured since the war on Gaza began.

My wife was perfectly healthy before the war. But after losing both of her parents, everything changed. The grief became overwhelming, and she fell into deep depression. Every day, I try to comfort her gently. I often cry in silence so she will not see my tears, because I understand the pain she is carrying. I lost my own father before I was born and never had the chance to know him.

Since the war began, my wife has faced depression, bombing, fear, and displacement every single day. When God blessed us with our first child, Malak, I almost lost my wife to severe preeclampsia. It was a terrifying experience. I stayed by her side every moment, supporting her through the fear and suffering because of my love for her.

Later, when God blessed us with our son, Ali, tragedy struck again. During her second pregnancy, she developed preeclampsia and severe convulsions. She spent more than a month in the intensive care unit. It was one of the hardest periods of our lives. On the final night before Ali was born, her condition became extremely critical, and doctors were forced to perform an emergency C-section. I remained beside her every moment, terrified that I might lose her.

Today, the convulsions have become a chronic condition. To recover, she needs medication for at least three years. One strip of medicine costs $33 and lasts only four days. The medication is not available in local hospitals, and we cannot afford to buy it regularly. Healthy food that could support her recovery is also difficult to find.

At the same time, we struggle to provide for our children. A pack of diapers costs around $40, and a single can of infant formula costs $33. We are unable to give our children the life and joy they deserve.

I appeal to anyone who reads our story. For more than a year, only a small number of people have been able to help us, and I am deeply grateful to every one of them. Your kindness has given us hope during our darkest days.

Thank you for taking the time to read my story.
