CHH is a veteran owned 501c3 Non Profit Horse and Donkey Rescue. Our mission is to rescue, protect, and rehabilitate all equine in need. We are a "no kill" sanctuary and care for all equine who were often abused, starved, and neglected. We offer a safe haven for all who enter, and provide an alternative to auction or slaughter. Unfortunately we are not able to take on anymore Horses until we are able to secure outside funding. Owning a horse is an expensive endeavor but being responsible for 26 horses, donkeys and mules with a variety of needs is difficult. We are primarily self funded up until now. I am pleading and asking for help. No donation is too small and 100% of proceeds will go to benefit the herd.
Abraham and Ginger. Abraham was one of our first rescues and our longest resident. Both Abraham and Ginger came to us from a Kill Pen with an uncertain future.
This is Luna, she came to us extremely underweight and unfortunately lost her foal due to not being able to produce enough milk for her. Today she is doing amazing and has gained most of her weight back and has taken on a filly that had lost her mother to starvation.
Here we have Rocky a BLM resident, Elsa a 2 year old Belgian, Bella a pony, and Axel Rose a mini horse. We were fortunate enough to save these guys before being loaded on a truck to Mexico for slaughter. They enjoy visitors that come with treats.
This part of the property that includes 2 outside pens that we are working on covering before the winter. We are also planning on adding 2 quarantine stalls as well as a few smaller pins for our new babies we are expecting very soon.
