The Ankekuluk Initiative is a federally incorporated Canadian non-profit organization dedicated to supporting Inuit youth through land-based wellness, education, mentorship, and cultural connection.
We are currently working to secure and develop the Bluewater site near Lewisporte, Newfoundland, as a permanent home for Inuit youth wellness and learning. This space is envisioned as a supportive, land-based environment where Inuit youth can strengthen connections to culture, build confidence, develop practical skills, continue education pathways, and access long-term mentorship and wellness supports.
Guided by Elders and grounded in Inuit values, the Ankekuluk Initiative is focused on creating meaningful opportunities for youth through structured programming, relationship-based support, outdoor learning, peer connection, and community collaboration.
Funds raised through this campaign will support:
Securing the Bluewater property
Site and infrastructure development
Youth programming and educational supports
Wellness and land-based learning activities
Safety equipment and operational readiness
Transportation, food systems, and program supplies
Long-term sustainability of the initiative
We are currently facing a critical timeline to secure financing for the property and continue moving this vision forward.
Every donation, share, and expression of support helps build a lasting future for Inuit youth wellness, belonging, and opportunity.
Thank you for standing with the Ankekuluk Initiative.
