For a patient with kidney failure, dialysis is not a treatment — it is life itself.

Across Syria, thousands of men, women, and children living with end-stage renal disease depend on dialysis sessions several times a week to survive. Yet after more than a decade of crisis, the health system that keeps them alive is stretched to its limits. Dialysis machines are aging, supplies are scarce, and one critical service is dangerously out of reach for most patients: vascular access care.

Without a functioning vascular access — the surgically created connection that makes dialysis possible — a patient simply cannot receive treatment. When an access fails, every missed session brings a patient closer to a preventable death. In much of Syria today, the specialized surgeons, catheterization facilities, and supplies needed to create and maintain vascular access are simply unavailable or unaffordable.

MedGlobal and the Syrian Association for Dialysis Access (SADA) are working together to change that.

Through this partnership, Syrian specialist physicians are performing life-saving vascular access procedures — creating fistulas, placing catheters, and salvaging failing access — free of charge for patients who could never afford them, while training local doctors to sustain these services for the future.

The campaign will take place over two days — Friday and Saturday, 24–25 July. Every gift you make now helps our surgical team reach as many patients as possible during these two days, and sustains their care beyond.

Your donation directly funds:

Vascular access surgeries and catheter placements for dialysis patients who cannot afford                      care

Medical supplies and consumables for dialysis and access procedures

Training for Syrian physicians and nurses to build lasting local capacity in dialysis access care

Support for dialysis units serving the most vulnerable patients across Syria

What your gift can do:

$200     provides essential consumables for a dialysis patient's care

$350     covers the supplies for a life-saving catheter placement

$1000   funds a complete vascular access procedure for one patient

$8000 sponsors a full day of vascular access surgeries, restoring the lifeline for multiple
