Right now, 14 food-insecure communities in Tampa Bay, thousands of families and individuals, are on our waitlist, struggling to access fresh, nutritious food simply because we don't have enough kitchen and storage space to serve them. At the same time, Pinellas County's Waste To Energy facility reached its limit for the first time this year, accelerating how quickly our landfill reaches capacity, with millions of pounds of that waste being fresh, edible food.
This makes barrier-free services like ours essential as 360 Eats is the only free mobile meal service in Pinellas County serving the general population without any paperwork, income verification, or requirements, using rescued food.
As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, we rescue fresh ingredients destined for landfills and convert them into free, nutritious, chef-prepared meals delivered directly to food-insecure communities via our mobile CommUnity Kitchen food truck, turning food surplus into food security. Our Culinary Cultivator workforce program enhances food security even further by giving adults with employment barriers from the communities we serve paid culinary training and new career pathways in Tampa Bay's thriving food industry.
Since 2020, we've transformed 460,000+ pounds of fresh, rescued ingredients into 85,000+ free meals while creating over 30,000 pounds of compost for community gardens. In 2025, we launched our Culinary Cultivator program, with our first two interns graduating the program in November.
360 Eats has the solution to these challenges, but we need more cooking and food storage capacity to meet this pressing need. With an expanded commercial kitchen and food storage space, we can scale our impact to ensure more fresh food ends up in bellies rather than our landfill.
Thanks to a generous matching gift from Tito's Handmade Vodka. From now February 8th until April 30th, 2026, every donation will be matched dollar-for-dollar up to $60,000. Together we can reach our $120,000 goal and open our community kitchen with expanded capacity, boosting access to fresh food, reducing waste, and supporting those facing food-insecurity throughout our community.
Your support is the key that unlocks:
- 62,400 additional free meals annually (tripling from 600 to 1,800+ weekly)
- Service to 14 waitlisted food-insecure Tampa Bay communities where food-insecure families and individuals struggle to access fresh meals
- 200,000+ additional pounds of fresh food diverted from our landfill annually (60% increase)
- 10+ culinary program graduates placed in stable employment annually
- A safety net for communities when food assistance falls short
With your support, we can create a community kitchen that serves as a lifeline for thousands of Pinellas County residents struggling to access healthy, affordable food, while preventing more food waste, training more culinary professionals, and bringing the community together through events and gatherings.
Thank you for standing with us and being a part of the solution.
Sincerely,
Cameron Macleish
