My name is Ibrahim Asaliya 33 years old and I am from Gaza.
I write these words not in search of comfort or luxury, but as someone stripped of everything, where survival is my only goal. For three long years, war has shaped my life, days intertwined with nights filled with fear, loss, and uncertainty.
During this war, I lost the dearest people to my heart. My mother, who was my source of warmth and security, passed away along with my brothers and sisters, who were my support, my world, and everything to me. Their absence has left a wound that will never heal.
On October 21, 2023, a house near ours was targeted, injuring most of my famil only 5 are still alive that's include me.
We fled from northern Gaza to the south to escape death, but on January 21, 2024, I lost half my family in Khan Younis.
Today, I live with my family of five: my father and my brother's family. My father suffers from chronic illnesses such as diabetes, high blood pressure, and a weakened heart muscle, and he now needs surgery on his right eye. I struggle daily to find security and comfort, and even to obtain the most basic necessities of life. The simplest things—like rest, treatment, and dignity—seem unattainable.
Today, I appeal to people of goodwill everywhere. I am not asking for the impossible; I am simply asking for the opportunity to live with my family, to be able to provide treatment for my father, and to live without constant pain and fear.
Any support, no matter how small or large, will help me and change the course of my life.
I cling to the hope that there are those who care about me, who understand my situation, and who will choose to stand by me on this painful journey.
