This season, we are raising funds to purchase non-perishable goods to create Thanksgiving baskets for families in need. Our goal is to assemble 500 baskets to donate to families supported by our community partners: the Youth Empowerment Project, the New Orleans Women and Children’s Shelter, and Culture Aid NOLA.
Every dollar you give goes directly to Strong City, a 501(c)(3), which helps provide these families with a Thanksgiving meal they might not otherwise enjoy. Each fully packaged box costs $75. We invite you to consider sponsoring one or more boxes or donating any amount that feels meaningful to you.
Thanks to the generosity of last year’s donors, we are already off to a strong start with additional funds from last season. This year’s target is lower, and with your help, we are confident we can reach our goal of raising $16,000 by November 12th. Every dollar beyond our goal will go toward Strong City programming, enabling us to continue our mission of supporting local youth and families while addressing the root causes of poverty and violence in New Orleans.
