A Wonderful Donation On Christmas Eve
Received a very generous donation yesterday from a family member. Jessica Rempel, from Calgary Alberta. Blackie needs a lot of recovery time and personal care, many vet visits, x-rays, and more if he will be able to regain at least partial use of his fourth leg.
Jessica knows firsthand the importance of trying to restore his leg, instead of amputating it. Her dog Charly who was rescued from Northern Saskatchewan by an animal rescue group in Calgary had one of his rear legs amputated after the rescue. It had not been properly treated after an accident in the North. Doctors have already warned about Charly having difficulties with arthritis and spinal column pain later in life now that he is three-legged.
