HELP JAD
After a long wait, Jad and his family were finally going to Spain last Tuesday on a refugee visa. It was supposed to be the start of a new life, a chance for peace and security. What they didn’t expect was that their lives would change—but for the worse.
War reached their city. In Beirut, chaos took over the streets. Thousands are fleeing for their lives, with displaced families from the south and Beirut residents alike rushing to the beaches, seeking safety as bombs fly overhead. The only way out, by plane, is almost impossible as most flights are canceled due to the threat of attack.
Jad’s family is devastated. They were so close to safety, so close to peace, but now it feels further away than ever. Trapped in a war-torn country, they have no hope of escaping, no calls from their caseworker, and a rent they thought they wouldn’t need to pay. They face an empty fridge, with no money for food, rent, or even basic survival.

La guerra llegó a su ciudad. En Beirut, el caos se apoderó de las calles. Miles de personas huyen para salvar sus vidas, con familias desplazadas del sur y residentes de Beirut corriendo a las playas, buscando seguridad mientras las bombas vuelan sobre sus cabezas. La única salida, en avión, es casi imposible, ya que la mayoría de los vuelos se cancelan debido a la amenaza de un ataque.
