Ayat, the oldest sister in her family, once lived a life like any other teenager. Before Lebanon's economy collapsed, plunging millions into extreme poverty, she attended school in the mornings and spent her afternoons at 26 Letters, where she studied, laughed, and talked to the boy she liked. Life was simple and filled with hope.


But everything has changed. Now, Ayat is married with a child of her own. While her baby brings her immense joy, it also comes with overwhelming worries. Being a teenage mother in Lebanon's current crisis is terrifying, and the constant threat of war looms over her. Having already lived through one war, she fears for her child’s safety, knowing that a missile could hit her neighborhood at any moment.


Ayat dreams of fleeing to Syria to escape the dangers of Lebanon, but she’s torn between the fear of staying and the fear of going to a country where she has no family and no support.


In a perfect world, Ayat would be in her first year of university, meeting friends and talking about the latest gossip. But the world isn’t perfect, and her dreams have had to shift in the face of harsh realities.


Help Ayat escape the war and find safety. Help her reach Syria and give her baby the chance to grow up in peace.

Ayat es la hermana mayor de su familia y, hasta hace unos años, vivía una vida normal como cualquier otra adolescente. Antes de que la economía del Líbano colapsara, hundiendo a millones de personas en la pobreza extrema, asistía a la escuela por las mañanas y pasaba las tardes en 26 Letters, donde estudiaba, reía y hablaba con el chico que le gustaba. La vida era sencilla y llena de esperanza.


Pero todo ha cambiado. Ahora, Ayat está casada y tiene un hijo. Si bien su bebé le brinda una inmensa alegría, también trae consigo preocupaciones abrumadoras. Ser madre adolescente en la crisis actual del Líbano es aterrador, y la amenaza constante de guerra se cierne sobre ella. Habiendo vivido ya una guerra, teme por la seguridad de su hijo, sabiendo que un misil podría alcanzar su vecindario en cualquier momento.


Ayat sueña con huir a Siria para escapar de los peligros del Líbano, pero está dividida entre el miedo a quedarse y el miedo a ir a un país donde no tiene familia ni apoyo.


En un mundo perfecto, Ayat estaría en su primer año de universidad, reuniéndose con amigos y hablando de los últimos cotilleos. Pero el mundo no es perfecto y sus sueños han tenido que adaptarse a la dura realidad.
