Fleeing war in Syria, Aya and her family hoped for safety, but life in Lebanon has been a different battlefield. Rent looms unpaid, and the fear of homelessness grows sharper with every passing day. The hunger only deepen their pain, yet Aya and her husband refuse to give up. They fight, not for themselves, but for the small hands they hold—hands that deserve a better future.

A Aya le tiembla la voz mientras comparte su historia. Es una madre siria que está esperando su tercer hijo y lleva sobre sus hombros el peso de la supervivencia. Su niño y su niña son su mundo, pero cada día es una lucha para conseguir lo básico: comida, abrigo y refugio. Los duros inviernos libaneses se les meten en los huesos y el sueño de Aya de visitar a un médico para saber el sexo de su bebé parece un lujo lejano.
Al huir de la guerra en Siria, Aya y su familia esperaban seguridad, pero la vida en el Líbano ha sido un campo de batalla diferente. El alquiler no se paga y el miedo a quedarse sin hogar se agudiza cada día que pasa. El hambre solo profundizan su dolor, pero Aya y su esposo se niegan a rendirse. Luchan, no por ellos mismos, sino por las pequeñas manos que sostienen, manos que merecen un futuro mejor.
