My husband is sick and unable to work due to Osteoporosis, which causes him severe back pain. My children and I beg for money under the bridge. My daughter is 11 years old, and my son is 9 years old. The first time we had to do it, I felt terrible. Our situation was never good, but begging for money was something else. Now, like everything else, I've gotten used to it, but I don't want my children to get used to it.
Our situation is very difficult. The room we can afford to rent has leakages, and the overall humidity makes us sick. Now, with winter, it's very hard to be at home—it's cold and damp.

Hola, soy Amal y soy de Alepo, Siria. Tengo dos hijos, Muhammad y Madeleine, y mi marido Yassin.
