Help Ahmad / Ayuda a Ahmad

AHMAD'S QUIET FIGHT

Ahmad fled Syria as a boy when ISIS took his home, leaving behind everything he knew. In Lebanon, he found a new kind of refuge—our school, 26 Letters. For him, it was a lifeline. Despite working every day to support his family, he came to night classes to study English, finding friends and a piece of the life he longed for.

Years passed, and as Lebanon’s crisis deepened, his mother took his younger siblings back to Syria. But Ahmad stayed—no longer a child, staying to work and send what he could to support them. Returning home would mean conscription and a life without enough to sustain his family. Alone now, he finds himself trapped in yet another war.

Ahmad, humble as ever, never asked for help, even as he shared his aid with his neighbor. We only learned about it from another student, and we began helping his neighbor, too, so Ahmad wouldn’t go without.

Now, for the first time, Ahmad has reached out to us. His $350 salary barely sustains him after sending most of it home. To survive himself, he needs support. Help Ahmad keep his light alive as he cares for those he loves.
