These past few months have brought both
progress and challenges. All our primary
school children are thriving in school, while
our one high school student has been unwell
and remains at home, accessing good
healthcare continues to be a real challenge.
The children were overjoyed by the heartfelt
cards from Southwest Airlines employees, a
simple gesture that made them feel truly
seen. We are also thankful for the little
comforts that mean so much: private
bathrooms for older kids, cozy mattresses for
safe sleep, and clean drinking water that
keeps them healthy.
As we move into the next quarter, we carry
this gratitude and continue working toward a
sustainable future for the children in our care.
With heartfelt thanks,
The Tunza Watoto Foundation
We completed this project in April and they are now in use.
We have installed 18 solar panels and a water filtration system.
We are in consultation with a contractor to have the kitchen and dining areas expanded aswell as renovated the bathrooms.
