The Giving Group is focused in Chilliwack, B.C. The money gathered through this page goes towards reloadable Share and Care cards, valid at FreshCo and Safeway.
Once a month, we put money onto all active cards, allowing our cardholders to buy what they want at the grocery store. They can buy toiletries, food, diapers, or whatever they choose at Safeway and FreshCo. For some, it's the essentials like bread, milk, and eggs.
We would love for more people to support our cardholders. A routine monthly donation of $25/month would be great, yet ideally, we'd like to support each cardholder with $50/month. We also would be glad with a one-time donation if you can't afford monthly support.
The Giving Group is a registered Canadian charity (783586464RR0001), so you will get a tax receipt for your donations.
