On September 1, 2022, Eye For Afrika will embark upon its first mission trip to Uganda, East Africa, also known as the "Pearl of Africa", to serve orphaned children whom we collectively call Children of Promise.
Our trip, in partnership with Catapult Global (www.Catapult-Global.org), is a follow up to Catapult's initial launch in 2019. From September 1, 2022 - September 13, 2022, we will implement a variety of empowerment initiatives to "restore the foundations and ignite hope in developing nations and under-served communities." My husband, Eric, and I were delighted to partner with Catapult serving in their children and orphanage outreach ministry.
Uganda is a nation where its youth are the largest and youngest population in the world, with 77% being under the age of 30 and 46% below the age of 15. Only 2% of the population are ages 65 and older (due to genocide, poor health services, communicable diseases, and poverty). This trip serves as a golden opportunity to join in rebuilding this young nation from the inside out.
The orphanage and outreach ministry will serve approximately 750 children during this trip. As you can imagine, a mission of this magnitude requires financial support. Eric and I would like to raise $5,000 to aid in offsetting the cost of food and gifts for each child, as well as lodging and travel expenses (while on the continent).
In addition to this campaign, tax deductible donations can also be made via Eye For Afrika's website (www.EyeForAfrika.com), Catapult Global's website (www.Catapult-Global.org), PayPal, Zelle, credit/debit card, check or money order. If donating via Catapult Global, please be sure to specify in the comments section that your donation is in support of Eric & Veronica Graham.
Because prayer is so crucial to the success of this mission, we sincerely covet your ongoing prayers as we strive towards the mission of "Restoring Foundations and Igniting Hope!"
With deep gratitude,
Eric & Veronica Graham
