Thanks to community support in 2021 (~$20k!), the West Valley community was able to fix the first part of our roof in 2022. We have received grant funds thanks to you from the Ford Family Foundation and Polk County Service Integration Team, but we still need your help! We are currently working with Framework Architect Studios to complete the architectural studies needed by Yamhill County. We are still working on a timeline, but are looking forward to seeing you again soon! During this time we have had to pause our regular calendar of events aside from Wet Season Music, but we are very excited about the future and have big plans. We want to continue to expand our programming to better serve our community.
As you know, the West Valley Community Campus is an important cultural attraction for our little town of Willamina, Oregon. As you may also know, it is in need of serious maintenance. And right now, our most pressing need is for a new roof. Thanks to Jeremy Rhodes Construction, we are currently working on the section of the roof that covers the gym shingles and front shingles.
We have received estimates from a number of roofers and it looks like we will need to raise over $200,000 to get the work done. We plan on paying for most of it with grants and other aid, but we still need community support. For this section of the roof we are looking to meet $75,000. We still need you!
