Project 1K Strong
Workforce Access Initiative
“Opportunity should connect to preparation.”
That belief is the foundation of Georgia Vocational Solutions (GVS).
Every day across Metro Atlanta, employers are searching for dependable workers while thousands of people are still searching for stable career opportunities.
The problem is not always motivation.
The Problem Is often:
lack of access
lack of preparation
lack of workforce exposure
lack of guidance
and lack of connection to real opportunities
At the same time, Georgia’s workforce needs continue growing.
According to the Atlanta Regional Commission, Metro Atlanta is expected to add hundreds of thousands of new jobs in the coming decades, creating major demand for workforce-ready individuals. (gacommuteoptions.com)
The Associated Builders and Contractors organization reported that the construction industry alone is expected to need approximately 349,000 additional workers in 2026. (ABC)
Georgia’s infrastructure, logistics, construction, transportation, and skilled trades industries continue searching for prepared workers.
Yet many individuals still struggle to access:
workforce preparation
certifications
transportation
training resources
employer relationships
and structured workforce pathways
And in many parts of Metro Atlanta, people no longer experience the traditional “unemployment office” model that once served as a visible place for workforce guidance, direction, and connection.
Many people are left trying to figure out:
where to start,
who to trust,
and
how to move forward.
That is where GVS comes in.
What Is GVS?
Georgia Vocational Solutions is a workforce preparation and career pathway organization focused on helping individuals move from interest to opportunity through structured workforce development.
We are not a staffing agency.
We are not a headhunting service.
We are building a workforce institution centered around:
workforce readiness
certifications
technical training
employer-connected opportunities
workforce stability
and long-term economic mobility
Our student journey includes:
orientation
workforce readiness education
technical training
certifications
career placement assistance
retention support
and workforce pathway guidance
Because workforce success is not only about getting a job.
It is about:
keeping opportunity.
Why Project 1K Strong Exists
“A pathway means nothing if people cannot access it.”
Project 1K Strong was created to help remove barriers that prevent individuals from participating in workforce opportunities.
Our goal is to help support workforce access for 1,000 individuals across Georgia through:
workforce readiness training
certification support
PPE and training materials
employer-connected workforce opportunities
career pathway preparation
workforce support services
This initiative helps support individuals who are trying to move forward through preparation, structure, and opportunity.
The Real Workforce Problem
Many workforce systems focus only on:
job placement
ortechnical skills alone.
But employers consistently say they also need:
professionalism
accountability
communication
dependability
leadership
and workplace readiness
GVS was designed to help bridge that gap.
Because:
certifications alone are not enough.
Preparation matters.
Consistency matters.
Workforce culture matters.
Employer trust matters.
What Your Support Helps Build
Your support helps GVS continue building:

training barriers
certification access

transportation-related barriers
and career preparation support
Every contribution helps expand workforce opportunity.
Starting With The First 100
June – December 2026 Founding Initiative
Project 1K Strong begins with a focused goal:
supporting the first 100 workforce participants entering the GVS workforce pipeline between June and December 2026 as Georgia Vocational Solutions launches its workforce training center and workforce access initiatives across Metro Atlanta.
This founding phase helps establish:
workforce readiness programming
certification pathways
employer-connected opportunities
workforce support systems
and long-term workforce infrastructure across Georgia
The first 100 participants represent more than enrollment numbers.
They represent:
workforce movement
opportunity in action
preparation meeting access
and the beginning of a stronger workforce ecosystem
Founding supporters of Project 1K Strong are helping build the early momentum that will shape the future growth of GVS, strengthen workforce pathways, and expand access to career opportunities throughout Georgia.
This is the beginning of a long-term effort to help connect preparation, workforce readiness, and opportunity across the communities we serve.
“No Relapse. No Reduction-In-Force. No Recidivism.”
At GVS, we believe workforce preparation creates stronger futures for:
individuals
families
employers
and communities
Our mission is not simply to train people.
Our mission is to help build:
workforce movement,
workforce stability,
and
long-term opportunity.
Why Metro Atlanta?
Metro Atlanta continues experiencing rapid growth across construction, logistics, transportation, infrastructure, and skilled trades industries.
At the same time, many individuals still struggle to find clear workforce direction, preparation resources, and access to employer-connected opportunities.
In many communities, the traditional workforce guidance systems people once depended on are no longer highly visible or easily accessible.
Too many individuals are left trying to navigate workforce opportunities alone.
GVS was created to help bridge that gap through structured workforce preparation, certifications, workforce readiness education, and employer-connected pathways designed to help individuals move toward long-term workforce stability.
The Vision
Georgia Vocational Solutions is building more than training programs.
We are building:
workforce pathways
employer-connected opportunities
workforce readiness systems
career access infrastructure
and a growing workforce ecosystem across Georgia
Through orientations, workforce readiness education, certifications, employer engagement, and retention support, GVS is working to create stronger connections between preparation and opportunity.
Project 1K Strong helps strengthen that mission by helping expand workforce access for individuals seeking real workforce opportunities and long-term career stability.
