SUPPORT THE FUTURE OF 10KIF
We're a small charity with a big mission: we want to build a more inclusive world of work.
To do this, we create internship opportunities for underrepresented talent, but the changing environment of the last year has been tough and now we are responding to a legal challenge about the eligibility criteria of one of our programmes.
Since 2020, we’ve created more than 10,000 internships. We also support our alumni through training and development and shape practice and policy through our data driven insights.
Our programmes are lawful, evidence-based positive action measures under Section 158 of the Equality Act 2010, designed to address clear and persistent underrepresentation. We are confident in the legal basis of our approach.
We are a small team of 12, and are gratefully receiving pro-bono legal support, but our future depends on your support as we navigate this challenging period.
Every little helps, but if you want to go further with a donation of over £2,500 or to support us in a different way, please contact Nana, at nana@10000internsfoundation.com

You have done amazing work creating opportunities for people who may otherwise have been overlooked because of systemic barriers and bias. Please continue the important work you do in opening doors for minority communities across the country

The malicious legal action against 10,000 Interns cannot be allowed to succeed - it's an appalling attack on a charity no less, and the wider implications for equality in work if the legal case to succeed are very concerning.

It’s a shame that 10,000 Black Interns are being sued. They are doing great work and I completed a summer internship through their scheme last year.

It is disgraceful that anyone would think you are discriminating. The fantastic work you do is designed to challenge existing, embedded, systemic discrimination. It's the exact opposite. Sending very best wishes and solidarity.
