SUPPORT THE FUTURE OF 10KIF

We're a small charity with a big mission: we want to build a more inclusive world of work.

To do this, we create internship opportunities for underrepresented talent, but the changing environment of the last year has been tough and now we are responding to a legal challenge about the eligibility criteria of one of our programmes.

Since 2020, we’ve created more than 10,000 internships. We also support our alumni through training and development and shape practice and policy through our data driven insights.

Our programmes are lawful, evidence-based positive action measures under Section 158 of the Equality Act 2010, designed to address clear and persistent underrepresentation. We are confident in the legal basis of our approach.

We are a small team of 12, and are gratefully receiving pro-bono legal support, but our future depends on your support as we navigate this challenging period.

Every little helps, but if you want to go further with a donation of over £2,500 or to support us in a different way, please contact Nana, at nana@10000internsfoundation.com

Thank you for your work and hope you bring to the movement and progress of our people and our communities as a whole! Continue to be a light in the dark and allow your test become your testament! We stand by you ✊🏾 we reject bigotry, racism, facism, elite gameplay, inequality, oppression and any oppressor trying to attempt to dim the light of a wonderful necessary charity. God bless you all.

I admire the work you do so much. It feels deeply unfair that a small charity trying to tackle structural inequality is being expected to somehow solve every wider issue within an already broken system. The impact 10,000 Interns has had on social mobility and access to opportunity is undeniable. More pathways should absolutely exist for people from all disadvantaged backgrounds, but directing anger towards organisations creating opportunities rather than the systems that created inequity in the first place feels misplaced. I stand with you. Signed, Barbara Pereira
