1 Women 4 All, Inc. is a community-based non-profit centered around women's empowerment serving Essex, New Jersey, and New York City. Our mission is dedicated to bringing attention to national and international women's issues through creative campaigning and utilizing multimedia. Made up of women from different walks of life, careers, and ethnic backgrounds, our network serves women through education and health resources. From mentorship, career development, social and behavioral coaching, maternal support, and digital awareness campaigns -- 1 Woman 4 All is the core link in driving momentum behind key issues impacting women and girls in the community.
We are developing a cohort network and mentorship program through these initiatives:
Panty Power Project - Our call to action against sexual abuse, 1 in 3 (35.6%) women have experienced rape, physical violence and/or stalking by an intimate partner in their lifetime . This initiative is a revitalization of self-care through 3 tiers of wellness; Physical, Mental, and Socio-emotional. Physical - starting with the most needed, but under-donated item--underwear. Mental - providing mental health workshops and resources. Socio-emotional - tailored approaches that encourage self-confidence and self-efficacy.
The Panty Power Project’s main service is donating underwear to underserved women. Since 2019* we have served 3000* women and girls in the tri-state area. Partnering with women’s shelters and community centers, participants 10-75 years old will attend quarterly outreach events. Our donor partners, Sanctuary for Families in NYC and NJ ensure the underwear goes directly to sanctuary houses for women and families. Through grassroots fundraising, our current system is galvanized by the support of donations, raising funds while increasing the quality of life for women.
Mentorship - As of August 2022, nearly 75% of New York City public schools are facing budget cuts . Historically girls from low-income backgrounds are disadvantaged by circumstances beyond their control, 1 Woman 4 All offers mentorship for self-esteem & self-efficacy to reshape the “at-risk” narrative. Our Confidence and Presentation Building Classes serve young girls ages 10-18 years old from Brooklyn School District 22. In Fall 2023 this 8-week program will be a safe space for young girls to explore their socioemotional well-being and professional aspiration with mentors.
Partnering with local schools as an assistive/after-school program, we recognize the opportunity to address to help our girls use a multi-layered system with mentorship, action plans, and stakeholders. Together let’s secure our future through the power of youth development.
1W4A Gala - Our stories are meant to be acknowledged and honored, with our annual Gala we celebrate all generations of women. Uniting the members of our Panty Power Project cohorts with the youth from our mentorship program, 1W4A will bridge together the present and future of women’s empowerment. This opportunity will galvanize the support that youth need, established professionals
