Our movements are made up of people sometimes struggling to cover their most basic living expenses. And supporting the relational work of our movements means supporting our people – creating wellness spaces where folks can build skills and awareness for moving through conflict but also where they can access support in meeting material needs.
That’s why we maintain an emergency fund for Black queer and trans organizers, cultural workers, and care workers who participate in our summer cohort. To date, we’ve distributed $4000 in emergency funds to Black queer and trans people, covering the costs of utilities, rent, dental care, groceries, and unexpected crises.
