Black Mutual Aid Funds are quite common in other jurisdictions across Turtle Island, commonly known as North America. It's time we get on board!
Mutual Aid Funds are a financial pot that can be drawn from to help people when they need it.
There’s no judgment, there’s no red tape, there’s only support and meeting people where they are and helping them get what they need.
No charity - just solidarity!
Together, we can create positive change and strengthen our community bonds.
Black people in this province have yet to have a NON REPAYABLE specific community fund that is sustainable year round, but you can help change that.
The purpose is to foster a financial support system that will alleviate some financial barriers faced by Black individuals and community members.
It is also intended to directly support any initiative/amplify concerns of the Black community across the province.
