YWCA Central Virginia is proud to host our 110th Anniversary Gala this year honoring 110 years of service that our organization has provided to the community and to recognize our valued community partners. The Gala will take place on October 15, 2022 at The Virginian and is the primary fundraiser for YWCA Central Virginia this year.

Your investment and additional funds raised from our event will be used to continue our critical programming including:  

• Domestic Violence Prevention Program (DVPP) which includes two (2) 24/7 emergency safe shelters located in the City of Lynchburg and Campbell County, along with our communities only safe child supervised visitation center.  

• Sexual Assault Response Program (SARP) with 24/7 crisis response to our local emergency departments to ensure all victims and survivors have access to care, compassion, and critical assistance as they heal.  

• Town Center Women’s Residential Housing that provides safe and affordable community style living for low-income adult women.

• Racial Justice Programming that includes our 21 Day Racial Equity and Social Justice educational challenge, and our annual Side by Side event as well as our young girls mentoring program YGyrls.  

• AMEND Together which is our primary prevention program dedicated to ending violence against women and girls by engaging men and boys to change the culture that supports violence.
