Youth Mutual Aid Fund for Afghan Refugees

Dear PANA Youth Congress Friends and Supporters,

As the situation in Afghanistan continues to unravel and the evacuation of Afghan families remains a crisis, Youth Congress needs YOUR HELP to welcome Afghan refugees in San Diego to create an environment that will support them in experiencing a dignified, safe, and humane resettlement process.

Our movement space, the PANA Youth Congress, convenes and empowers immigrant and refugee youth so that we may dictate the direction of our own policy campaign work. It also provides a critical space to educate, develop, and transform young people in our community into powerful leaders that shape and mobilize for change. We commit to taking a bold stance against islamophobia, anti-blackness, and the carceral state. As the year comes to a close, as a Youth Congress, we are committing ourselves to expanding protections and specifically, supporting refugee youth and families arriving from Afghanistan. 

PANA Youth Congress is launching our inaugural Youth Mutual Aid Fund in Support of Afghan refugees in San Diego County. Will you support Youth Congress’ work toward liberation and equality for refugees by making a contribution today?
