Goal
Our mission is to equip youth and young adults with the skills and understanding needed to live a stable and productive life. Reducing the number of disconnected youth through social services, education, career development, mentoring and physical fitness.
New Nations Center was created to transform and re-stabilize the lives of youth, young adults and families throughout the Dallas County area. In Dallas County, approximately 128,000 teens and young adults between the ages of 15 to 25 are not working or in school. The majority of these individuals live in the following areas Oak Cliff and South Dallas, Southeast Dallas (Bucker Terrace, Everglade Park, Pleasant Grove), Fair Park and West Dallas. Along with this, there is an estimated 10,000 people are living in low-income areas and don’t have a high school education. This leaves a great number of individuals locked out of careers and stability. Leading them to give up on life and success. Becoming more dependent and excepting of county and federal programs, and other means to provide for their families.
Fundraising Goal: Obtaining temporary office space and start construction of main center.
This center will give the youth and young adults of Dallas County the opportunity to learn new skills for future careers, develop necessary skills to live life and have fun doing it . Entrepreneurial skill, continuing education, establishing a recreation and business center, revolving fund from programs that will also go into the redevelopment of our Southern Dallas Areas and providing sporting leauges for the youth. All development programs will be held at the center 6 days a week year-round Tuesday - Friday 10 am to 10 pm, 10am to 12am Saturday and 10am to 2pm on Sundays . Youth conferences, community events, and sporting events will be held at the center throughout the year. We also plan on having a 100-bed living area for youth and young adults who are displaced in our county.
Phase 1
All current fundraising, grants and donations are geared to obtain an office space between the sizes of 1,400 SqFt and 2,300 SqFt. This office space will be located either in West Dallas, South Dallas or boarding Cedar Hill, Duncanville, Lancaster area. This office space will allow our programs to be opened to the general public and have a boarded reach in the community. The temporary center will serve as a meeting space for board members, partners and donors reducing the cost of rental spaces to continue funding for our main center. Below you will find a list of all programs that will be offered in this rental space. The current budget for the rental, insurance, equipment, security, build out and staffing for one year is $85,618.00.
