Your Community Voice
There’s never been a more challenging time for LGBT rights around the World - and Scotland is no different.
Hate crime against LGBT people is at its highest ever level and laws that protect our community from discrimination are under attack. Many of us face abuse online and often in the street as we go about our lives.
But Pink Saltire are fighting back.
We’re all about giving a platform to isolated and marginalised voices in Scotland. Bringing people together, making new connections and reaching out is what we do best. We run community social groups, support people launch new services in their local area, deliver multi-media training projects with young people and build capacity within towns and cities across Scotland.
Our news hub at pinksaltire.com has featured news from all around the country - from Shetland to Dumfries, from Bute to Dundee and people are hearing our voices.
In the year to 31st March 2019 our website had almost 55,000 visitors from 110 different countries around the World. Our video content was viewed over 26,000 times in the same period and our total digital reach was over 2.1million in just 12 months!
Having a platform that helps LGBT charities and community groups reach new audiences, local national and international, takes dedication and hard work. Our charity is not funded by The Scottish Government or local authorities to provide this important digital service.
We need your support to continue our vital work connecting communities in Scotland. Your donation will help us keep on telling the stories, reporting the news and sharing the information on LGBT events, groups and people making Scotland a better place.
Enjoy your gift and use it with Pride in 2019! Thank you x
