Combined Budget of Yonkers SDA Church
(Between Donorbox and Adventist Giving we were NOT able to raise enough for our combined budget for the month of October to cover our basic expenses. We did well in September, but in October our giving reverted back to what it was before. For those who gave, thank you for your contributions. The thermometer resets every month. Help us raise $7,000 for the combined budget for November)
COVID-19 has affected everyone. We pray for those who are struggling financially.
As a church we were affected too. Offering has been down, but church expenses still go up.
Currently the Yonkers Seventh-day Adventist Church is in need of $7,000 a month in order to cover the basic church expenses, such as insurance. However, we are more in need of $15,000 a month in order to truly allow for ministries to be back in full function.
Lets do some basic math. We have 169 members in the books. We would need every member to give $42 a month in order to reach our minimum goal. In order to reach our goal of full operation we would need for every member to give $94 a month.
Lets face it not every member in the books still attends, let alone gives. So what we are asking you to do is to pray and ask God how much you are able to give. I recognize that everyone's financial situation is different. I know that you already give 10% in tithe. (To return tithe please send it to AdventistGiving.org)
However we know the Bible mentions both tithe and offering. So this is what we are requesting:
If you can find it in your heart to give 1% of your salary we can reach our goal. The average salary in Westchester is a little more than $5,000 a month. So 1% would more than cover our minimum goal.
Pray to God, and then make either a one time donation, or set a weekly, or monthly donation. (You can always log back in a change or cancel your recurring donation later on)
