Goal
The Yamhill Neighborhood Association enriches our community by offering ongoing disaster preparedness classes that “equip residents with the knowledge and skills needed to handle emergencies effectively,” empowering individuals and families to protect themselves and their neighbors yamhillneighborhoodassociation.org.
Since early 2023 YNA has hosted monthly open-to-all workshops on topics ranging from bleeding-control (“Stop the Bleed”) and CPR/AED refreshers to neighborhood-mapping drills, mass-shooting response and post-disaster survival – training neighbors of every age in life-saving skills charitynavigator.org. Residents praise these sessions for providing practical, hands-on education – for example, a recent Stop the Bleed workshop taught by hospital trauma-center staff required only a $5 donation to attend newsregister.com.
These classes build community resilience, but they rely on continuing support: YNA explicitly appeals for modest tax-deductible contributions (even $20 per year) to cover instructor, supplies and venue costs and “keep its efforts moving forward” into the next year yamhillneighborhoodassociation.org.
Your donation would directly sustain and grow these vital enrichment programs – ensuring that Yamhill’s families, seniors, and young people continue to benefit from education that makes our town safer, more prepared and more resilient.
