Goal
Jewish Family Services’ history is deeply rooted in a timeless promise: welcoming generations of refugees and immigrants from across the globe who arrive in the United States through legal channels seeking safety, security, and a chance at the American Dream.
This World Refugee Day, that promise faces its greatest test in decades.
Families have already been pushed to the brink by hate-filled rhetoric, and the recent loss of safety net supports for SNAP and Medicaid. They are fighting for survival.
But they do not have to fight alone.
At Jewish Family Services, we respond with holistic, wraparound services that build long-term stability. Because our staff collectively speaks over 22 languages and dialects, we are uniquely equipped to meet families exactly where they are—breaking down cultural barriers, navigating unfamiliar school and health care systems, learning English and digital literacy, and securing employment.
We don't just help families survive; we help them integrate and thrive in their new home.
And now, the upcoming Supreme Court ruling on the termination of Temporary Protected Status (TPS) threatens to reshape our community overnight as local families face the potential of immediate loss of legal status, sudden expiration of work authorizations, and the terrifying prospect of family separation.
Your gift in recognition of World Refugee Day provides a vital lifeline.
You'll help us continue to provide emergency resources, basic needs assistance, employment and family support, and connections to trusted legal resources and referrals during this critical window.
Thank you for standing firmly with us when our immigrant and refugee neighbors need it most.
