WORDPLAY Adult Spelling Bee

When my wife and I first learned we were expecting our daughter, Lydia, we began searching for the right school. We wanted to be somewhere that would nurture her curiosity, character, and joy. That journey led us to Alabama Waldorf School, and it didn’t take long to know this was where she belonged. I still remember one of our first prospective parent nights, sharing freshly baked bread with honey butter and feeling the warmth of this community.

Now, my wife works at AWS, and our daughter Lydia is a student here. We are excited for the year ahead, where Alabama Waldorf School will provide a well-rounded education for my daughter and meaningful professional growth for my wife. In my own work in public health and research, I know the value of equipping people with the tools and understanding they need to thrive. AWS does that for its students every single day.

I’m participating in the WORDPLAY Adult Spelling Bee to help ensure this mission continues. Every contribution—no matter the size—helps give students and faculty the resources they need to learn, grow, and imagine boldly.
