Word-Connor Administrative Fund

This donor designated fund was established to defray a portion of BAF’s expenses. Interested individuals, families, and businesses became founding members, and their generous gifts were matched by the Walker Foundation. The Fund honors the first President of the Foundation, James W. Word, Jr., and its first Executive Director, Charles K. Connor, Jr. In 2007, William H. File, Jr. made a significant gift to this fund in memory of his wife Marjorie Wriston File and his parents Addie Lanier and William Henry File. Three of our trustee banks each manage a portion of this fund.
