The WWHS Class of 1959 celebrated their 50th reunion in 2009. They decided to establish a permanent endowment utilizing the Foundation’s “Building over Time” option and responded to a challenge grant offered by the Citizens Scholarship Fund of Beckley. Proceeds from this fund will be awarded as scholarships to WWHS graduates, and/or former WWHS students that acquired their GED, that are pursuing an accredited post HS education.
