Goal

Your donation helps provide a local, clean solution that creates stronger energy security for Mayra, a dedicated teacher whose family’s health and livelihood are impacted by frequent power outages.

Mayra is a science teacher in Adjuntas, Puerto Rico—committed to inspiring young minds in a region where power outages are a constant challenge.

At home, her family loses electricity multiple times a week. Mayra requires power for respiratory therapy, and her husband, Roberto, depends on refrigerated medication. When the electricity goes out, their health is put at risk—and Mayra’s ability to get to school and teach is affected too.

Mayra’s dedication to her students is unwavering—even as she faces the daily uncertainty of life without reliable power. She represents the many individuals striving to build a better future while navigating the realities of energy insecurity. If we are to truly transform the way we power our planet, we must ensure no one is left behind—especially those empowering the next generation.

Since 2021, Wood Mackenzie has partnered with the non-profit organisation, Let's Share the Sun to bring the power of the sun to communities in need.

There are three primary ways to support this initiative:

  • Make a monetary donation using the form on this page
  • Donate unused equipment (e.g., solar panels, inverters, energy storage batteries, etc.)
  • Volunteer your time and expertise to Let’s Share the Sun

Through collaboration and shared resources, we can continue to expand the impact we’ve already made - powering homes, shelters, and futures.

All donations go directly to Let’s Share the Sun.
