Help Women Reach the World Stage

From November 24–29, 2026, women from around the world will gather in Newcastle, Australia, for the Women’s Para Ice Hockey World Championship.

Getting to the World Championship is an incredible achievement, but for many athletes, the cost of participating can be a significant barrier.

The Women’s Para Ice Hockey Foundation is collaborating with Northeast Wisconsin (NEW) Yeti Sled Hockey to raise dedicated funds to help offset eligible travel and accommodation expenses for women participating in the 2026 World Championship.

Your support can help athletes overcome costs such as:

• Airfare to and from Australia

• Hotel accommodations, estimated at approximately $120 per night

• Other eligible travel and accommodation expenses associated with participating in the championship

For some athletes, particularly those representing teams or programs with fewer financial resources, these expenses may determine whether they can attend. Together, we can help ensure that financial barriers do not keep deserving women from competing on the world stage.

A Collaborative Effort

This campaign unites two nonprofit organizations committed to expanding opportunities through para ice hockey.

The Women’s Para Ice Hockey Foundation promotes the global growth of women’s para ice hockey through development, access, and opportunity. NEW Yeti Sled Hockey provides youth athletes with disabilities opportunities to participate in and experience the sport.

Together, the organizations are raising dedicated funds to help reduce travel and accommodation costs for women competing in the 2026 World Championship.
