Why We Exist
For too long in the United States, the legacy of slavery has been silenced, neglected or distorted. At Coming to the Table (CTTT), we believe that acknowledging truth is the first step toward healing — and that healing creates the path to liberation.
Founded by people who have witnessed the cost of unhealed history, CTTT creates brave, restorative spaces where individuals, groups, and communities can face history, share their stories, repair relationships, and work together for change.

Support Local Affinity Circles and Groups all across the country, where people gather in Circle to engage in truth-telling, trauma-informed practices, and racial healing.
Facilitator Training and Leadership Development, so more people are equipped to hold brave conversations, host vulnerable work, and catalyze change.
Curriculum and Resource Creation, grounded in the STAR trauma framework, Circle Process, and CTTT pillars — ensuring that our work is sustainable, replicable, and deep.
Access and Inclusion, because we know that healing is not just for a few but for many — we provide sliding-scale registration, scholarships, and outreach so that cost is not a barrier.
Impact & Vision
Our vision is a society that doesn’t simply survive racism’s legacy but actively heals from it. A society where truth-telling leads to freedom, and community leads to transformation.
Since 2006 we have helped more than 40 local groups, supported hundreds of facilitators, and walked many miles (metaphorically and literally) in the journey from history to liberation.
