Wesprzyj polski Memoriał!/Support Polish Memoriał!
The mission of Polish Memorial is to protect individual rights in political practice and social life, educate about political repression, document the manifestations of political violence in the past and present, and preserve historical memory through individual oral histories. We see the roots of Russia’s aggression against Ukraine and authoritarian political systems in some post-Soviet countries in the totalitarian heritage of the USSR. The Memorial has always focused on the individual fate of specific people who become cogs in a repressive state system.
We are seeking funding for statutory activities and key projects, including:
I. Crisis Center – a program of psychological support and social adaptation for political
refugees from Belarus and Russia and war refugees from Ukraine in Poland.
II. Film and Research Project “Among Others” – a project of video interviews with Ukrainian refugees in Poland, about families separated by war, and the daily lives of refugees in a new
country, between life at peace and war.
III. Memorial Lectures Series – meetings, lectures, and discussions on topics related to
Memorial’s activities.
