WENONAH LAKE ASSOCIATION LAUNCHES CAMPAIGN TO CLEAN-UP MESSY PLAYGROUND
Over the last year or so, the ground conditions at the Lake Playground have been deteriorating due to higher groundwater levels from a very wet year and lack of effective drainage. The result has been a muddy mess that would not only put a damper on the kids and families that take advantage of our awesome Lake this summer, but will likely even force the Borough to close the playground down if the conditions don't improve. The Wenonah Lake Association has decided to do something about it! Like with many things in Wenonah, volunteers and civic organizations will be the pathway to address the issue and make an impact in our community. We are calling on our members, supporters and the people that continue to selflessly strive to make Wenonah such a great place to live. We appreciate any support and contribution you can offer. Volunteers are also wanted for this project! If you think you can play a role, or just like to get a little muddy, please reach out. We will be seeking material donations as well. Let's make this happen!
“Volunteering is the ultimate exercise in democracy. You vote in elections once a year, but when you volunteer, you vote every day about the kind of community you want to live in”.
