When I grow up I want to be a...Mechanic

Wenesley became part of our family in June 2025, when his father came to us in a time of deep crisis. He arrived with both Wenesley and his younger brother, Mardochée, asking for help. Their mother had become ill, and their father was overwhelmed—unable to work because he had to remain at home caring for the youngest children. With no source of income and facing the harsh realities of poverty in Haiti, their father made the incredibly difficult decision to entrust us with the care of his two sons. Like so many families in Haiti, he was caught in the painful tension between the need to work to provide and the need to be physically present for his children. We pray for the day this family can be whole again, healthy and together. But until that time comes, we are honored to care for Wenesley and his baby brother. Here, they will be surrounded by safety, stability, and an abundance of love—every single day.

Wenesley is a joyful and independent little boy, often found either playing alongside Wilbensley and Scalendy or happily entertaining himself. When he isn’t racing his toy cars with boundless imagination, you might spot him relaxing contentedly in the hammock, lost in his own world of play. His bright smile and contagious laugh have a way of warming the hearts of our team.

Because of financial challenges while still under his parents’ care, he unfortunately missed the last few months of K3 and was unable to participate in his graduation. He will now be entering 1st grade, though it is clear he will benefit from some one-on-one support to help him catch up and thrive academically. Despite these hurdles, he is a sweet and eager boy who loves to please and brings joy to those who know him.
