PROJECT: Water-well restoration project in West Nile, East Africa

Five months ago, near South Sudan's border, a water well broke in West Nile. At the same time, a nearby water stream ran dry. Women and children travel far to other villages in the hope of finding water. Their journey often remains fruitless as they return with only one jerry-can or denied access to safe water altogether. 

Mercy Partners' "Project Jacob" implements our "W.A.S.H" (Water Access Sanitation & Hygiene) program, instructing the community on sanitation and personal hygiene. The program concludes with how to care for their well by having a maintenance plan in place so they may have full ownership when we leave. 

We have already engaged the local church to empower the nearby village for God's Glory. Outreach will begin as soon as we can fund this restoration. 

Charitable donations allow us to provide aid in conflict zones and create service programs that foster immediate care, sustainable aid, and discipleship training of native evangelists to care for their local people.
