#WEAREDOWNTOWNKZOO
As various policies have been enacted across the state, Downtown Kalamazoo businesses have felt the impact in their lives and bottom lines. We know that during this time, the public health is a top priority, but there are still simple ways to support downtown businesses right now to ensure they are still there when orders allow businesses to reopen.
Most important, we encourage the community to support downtown businesses by shopping local - purchase gift cards, shop online, or order takeout. Your purchase now helps businesses make it through until they are able to reopen again amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
You can also support downtown businesses by giving a tax deductible donation to the Kalamazoo Downtown Partnership, a 501(c)3. Donations received go to initiatives that directly support businesses through events, marketing and promotion of downtown, and the creation of vibrant public spaces through beautification, activation and infrastructure investments.
Kalamazoo Downtown Partnership is a private, non-profit organization that works with both the public and private sectors in preserving and enhancing the economic health of Kalamazoo’s downtown area and, in turn, the Kalamazoo community. In conjunction with its affiliate organizations, it manages a full range of activities that include capital improvement projects, business development and recruitment programs, image marketing and event planning in order to establish Downtown Kalamazoo as an accessible, diverse, green, progressive and vibrant urban center.
