Wayne Holt Scholarship

Friends, family, and colleagues remember Wayne Holt as an inspirational leader, who had deep respect for other people’s varied views and ideas.


Wayne’s entire career was dedicated to higher education, specializing in computer software to help students succeed. He believed in the value of a liberal arts education and was a strong speaker, writer, debater, photographer, cook, and computer software architect. 


Wayne renovated the Spinnaker Building on Vashon Island and housed his company there through 2017. 



This award provides support for students from Vashon Island High School who plan on attending a liberal arts college or university. Preference given to students exhibiting selflessness and scientific curiosity.


Other criteria:

Minimum 3.0 grade point average

Letter from at least one faculty member giving example of potential to succeed at college
