Our story
In November 2022, Sean and I received the great news that we were expecting! After struggling to become pregnant, we were thrilled! Unfortunately in December, we experienced a miscarriage. We went from the happiest moment in our life to the saddest in the snap of a finger and our life was forever changed.
Soon after our miscarriage, we were connected with Foreknown Ministries at church. After feeling so alone, it felt amazing to finally have a community who understood the grief we were going through.
Come February 2023, we found out that our sweet Baby D (who we thought we had lost in December) was actually still hanging out comfortably in mom’s fallopian tube. After a scary emergency surgery, we were finally able to put Baby D to rest.
That same night, I received a text from Foreknown Ministries saying “How can we pray for you today?” That text changed everything and gave me hope for the future. Last year, we attended and volunteered at first Wave of Light event. The healing that happened at that event was profound and it was so special to honor our sweet baby in Heaven.
Now, Sean and I are expecting our sweet rainbow baby in November. We are looking forward to our second Wave of Light event and continuing to keep Baby D’s memory alive!
We are so grateful to Foreknown Ministries for how they helped us through the loss of our child and continue to help us heal. If you have it in your heart to donate to this organization, please do so they can continue to support other parents going through pregnancy and child loss.
October is Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Month. By partnering with Foreknown—whether through a donation to the "Forever Known" fundraiser or by starting your own fundraiser in memory of your child—you can help raise awareness and provide practical support to other grieving parents during their most difficult times.
Join a team or start your own team fundraiser, so we can continue to add Jesus’s light to loss.
