In November of 2022 my husband and I found out we were expecting our second baby, it was a baby girl. Right away we knew her name would be Lainey Kathleen. Our three year old son was so excited to become a big brother. We talked about Lainey when she was in my belly everyday. My pregnancy with Lainey was completely different than with my son and early on at 10 weeks I ended up in the ER with unexplained heavy bleeding. Our little was a fighter though and her heartbeat was still strong. 

On March 15, 2023, little did we know our world would completely change. Early that morning my water broke at just 19 weeks, I knew it was way too early for Lainey to come. I was rushed to the ER again my husband and I were hanging on to every bit of hope we still had as yet again heartbeat was still there on the ultrasound. Hours after monitoring the Drs determined I had lost way too much amniotic fluid and our sweet Lainey was not going to make it. By 7:45pm that night our Lainey Kathleen was born sleeping. 

After Lainey passed I was so lost I didn’t know what to do, I never imagined that my husband and I would ever go through something like this. It was by far the hardest thing I ever had to do. 

I was introduced to Foreknown by some family members and they have greatly changed my life and have helped me find the Hope after loss. I honestly do not know where I would be if it was not for this wonderful organization. They are truly a blessing. That year was my first time attending the Wave of Light and it was just what my and mine husbands heart needed to honor and remember our Lainey girl.

I’m happy to say in June of 2024 we welcomed our rainbow baby. We are so excited to be apart of the Wave of Light again this year and so blessed we can continue to keep Lainey’s name alive and  all the other sweet babies.
