Water is Life Festival 2019
Join Honor the Earth in honoring our ancestors, our water protectors,
and our friends who stand to protect Minnesota’s water (nibi), wild rice (manoomin),
treaties, and indigenous people put at risk by extreme industrial development.
The funds raised from the festival help Honor the Earth continue applying pressure on Enbridge to stop the Line 3 pipeline, proposed to transport tar sands oil over 1,000 miles from Hardisty, Alberta to Superior, Wisconsin, right through the heart of Anishinaabe territory and some of the most sensitive watersheds, cleanest lakes and the most abundant wild rice beds in the world, including the headwaters of the Mississippi River and Lake Superior.
