Goal
Fields of Hope, through Water Drop Project will build 4 groundwater wells in 4 cells, 1 in each cell. Water Drop Project will also provide 500 water filters to 500 beneficiaries where in each cell, 125 most disadvantaged beneficiaries will be selected. The project will also provide training to 500 beneficiaries about water purification, prevention of water borne diseases, proper sewage dispersal and recycling.
Beneficiaries of Water Drop Project are 500 families of persons with physical disabilities who live in 4 cells of Kigoma sector of Nyanza district found in southern province of Rwanda who are not able to access scarce safe water sources available in the Kigoma sector. The project targets these people because most of them are not able to move long distances for water due to their disabilities. Their children are also burdened because they spend much of their time travelling to fetch water instead of going to school and sometimes may be abused on their way to or from the wells which puts their lives at risk.
This project is needed as soon as possible to reduce child maturity cases due to water borne diseases; it is also emergency to stop child abuse that may be done to children most especially young girls on their way to or from well due to lack of clean water near their homes or at their villages.
For Water Drop Project to be successfully achieved, we need a sponsor who can fund us in order to deliver this project to beneficiaries. If this project is funded, Water Drop Project will build 4 groundwater wells in 4 cells; provide 500 water filters to 500 families where in each cell 125 most disadvantaged families will be selected per each cell. The project will also provide training to 500 beneficiaries about water purification, prevention of water borne diseases, proper sewage dispersal and recycling.
It is therefore of great importance to get involved in this project that will transform the communities and also impact the future of young generation.
