Bring Back the Blade!
How will you take part in bringing back this incredible sign?
Make a donation at any amount today. You can also participate in the class challenge, sponsor a letter or buy your own lightbulb! Read on for details!
Sponsor a Lightbulb:
For $250, you can sponsor one of the light bulbs that will surround the vintage-style marquee. There are only 300 lightbulbs available. You can pay in full or set up recurring payments.
Individual Letter Sponsor:
As a class or individual, you can sponsor a letter for $5,000. Your name or year will be inscribed on the letter, and you will receive a commemorative photograph. Your name will be listed on our website and on a permanent display honoring contributors.
Levelland High School Decade Letter Sponsor :
We are challenging each decade of LHS Alumni to sponsor two letters. We are hoping to find 10 alumni classes to each contribute $1,000 and sponsor our double Ls! Individual contributors will be listed on our website. When you make your donation, please note your LHS class year so we can attribute it to your class's total.
The Specs:
The original Wallace Sign was installed with the theater renovations around 1949.
It featured neon lighting, six-foot wide letters on two sides, stood approximately 42 feet tall, and was constructed of solid steel.
The new blade, designed to replicate the old, will be constructed with more aluminum and lighter in weight. It will feature a lighted chaser antenna and LED Neon style lighting to conserve energy.

In memory of my mother, Maxine Osborn. My mom worked at the Wallace for many years. She also worked at the Drive-In and a few times at the Rose. A friend of mine said that he remembered my mom working at the Wallace, as when they would try to sneak up the stairs, to the balcony, it was as if she had eyes in the back of her head, she would catch them every time. I will always remember my mom working there, seeing all of those great movies, eating all of that popcorn. I want to personally thank the Keeling family for taking on the renovation project, as it is very dear to my heart, as is the Keeling family.
