When I graduate I want to be… a civil engineer

For many years, Bender has dreamed of becoming an architect. However, after prayerful consideration, he decided to pursue a degree in civil engineering. This choice reflects not only his aspirations but also his understanding of the job opportunities available in Haiti. Bender is a remarkable young man, always pushing himself to grow and learn. He has been diligently studying both Spanish and English, and his natural talent for languages shines through. Beyond academics, Bender has a wealth of hobbies and talents that enrich his life: he enjoys drawing, gardening, woodworking, and music. His creativity and passion are evident in everything he does, and he inspires those around him.

In 2022, Bender and his friend Berclay started “Coconut Creations,” where they craft beautiful handmade items like bowls, cups, decorations, necklaces, and keychains from coconut shells. This initiative not only showcases their artistic gifts but also serves as a way for them to raise funds for their first year of college education. He’s now in his second year at university in Cap-Haïtien, working hard under a heavy course load. We’re so proud of his determination and focus as he pursues his dreams.

We pray earnestly that God watches over him and guides him in every step he takes. His faith is strong, and we believe he has incredible potential to make a meaningful impact in the world. We are excited to witness where this journey leads him, confident that with hard work and God’s guidance, his dreams will come to fruition!

By choosing to sponsor Bender monthly, you will be directly supporting him and his essential needs. He has carefully budgeted $100 each month for food and necessities. Rest assured, 100% of your donation will go directly to him to help cover these costs.
