Supporting MS & Honoring Shelly – Join Me in the MS "Walk & Roll"!

For the past 10 years, I’ve had the privilege of walking alongside my dear friend Shelly Sutley, who has been living with MS. Shelly is an incredible person—strong, resilient, and an inspiration to everyone who knows her. Through her journey, I’ve seen firsthand the challenges that come with MS, but I’ve also seen the power of community, support, and movement in improving quality of life.

That’s why I am honored to help host the first-ever indoor MS "Walk & Roll" at the new Sonnentag Center, UWEC in Eau Claire! This event is about more than just fundraising—it’s about raising awareness, building a supportive MS community, and making real change happen for those living with MS in our area.

Through MS-Take Charge, we are working to create a safe, welcoming space where individuals with MS can:

🧡Attend monthly educational luncheons with expert speakers
🧡Connect with others who understand their journey and build a supportive community

ABOUT THE EVENT:  We welcome you to join MS-Take Charge as we host an indoor MS "Walk & Roll" event on March 29, 2025.  MS-Take Charge is a grassroots nonprofit organization, dedicated to empowering individuals living with Multiple Sclerosis (MS) to live their best lives! 

Through this collaborative event, with the UWEC Service-Learning Students and Business Community Leadership Students we aim to build community and awareness.  Our programs allow us to offer healing benefits through therapeutic movement, adaptive sports, increasing mobility and community engagement. The theme "Moving Together is Healing Together" captures the essence of this initiative.

The MS "Walk & Roll" event on Saturday, March 29, 2025, will be a day of celebration, where community members can participate in various activities that promote physical, emotional, and social well-being.  In addition to the walk, attendees will have access to educational resources and interactive sessions designed to provide valuable information on MS management, wellness strategies, and community support.

This event will be held indoors at the Sonnentag Event Center at UWEC in downtown Eau Claire, Wisconsin, where participants will follow a one-mile route within the venue.  Attendees are encouraged to connect with others while enjoying movement, education, food, and drinks in a welcoming and lively atmosphere.

Campaign Goal:
All funds raised at the MS "Walk & Roll" will stay within the Eau Claire and Chippewa Valley communities, helping to fund the event itself as well as support local programs that provide therapeutic movement classes, educational resources, and opportunities for connection for those living with MS.
